Week 5 - Images of My Developed SketchUp Model With The Developed Lumion Environment
The bridge/school (above) was inspired from a modern bridge design but was never
built. It evokes both beauty of its design and effectiveness of the structural
integrity and how it supports the school.
I’ve chosen the
second texture (above) to be applied on the main levels of the school because it shows
such random movement. I believe that interesting textures, rhythm, drawings,
which are on the floors, can boost the productivity of the students. Have you
ever saw such floorings that look like a chess table and when we were little,
we tried to step on the white tiles and avoided the black tiles? It is the same
thing with my texture but more complex than black and white square-like tiles.
This texture, I believe, can make students more curious and at the end, it
makes them to be more excited when they step into university. Why am I saying
this? Obviously, school is a place to study and just imagine if your school is
not interesting in its designs, materials, elements, etc, we as students would
not be so excited to go to school. Having said this, it lowers the rate of
productivity of the student.
This idea was inspired from Google’s workplace and the
movie Focus.
The chosen texture (above) demonstrates movement by giving direction to the students. It is believed that figures can
affect one’s under consciousness. They are affected by all of the colours, directions,
etc.
The second bridge was inspired from a modern bridge design but was
never built as well. It evokes both beauty of its design and effectiveness of
the structural integrity and how it supports the school. It acts as shading for
the students on the main walk as well.
This texture (above) evokes creativity and beauty of the outer
school. In support to the second texture, one must say that if a book is good
in the inside, must the cover be better as well.

Why do I connect the Square house to the heart os UNSW? The
main reason is that for students to travel easier from the main entrance of
UNSW to their desired places. And why do I call it as the main heart of UNSW? It is because the central map of UNSW where students traverse from it and to it every single day. In another words, it is a common place where people meet and go through it every time they go to university.
What is the relationship of these school to my theory of public spaces? Well, I acknowledge that spaces are very important as it affects the productivity of people who are in it. Having said this, that is the main reason why I make so many public spaces in my school for students and teachers to interact with each other easily. Not only that, the importance of public spaces give a sense of comfort for those who live on it.
Week 2 - Images of Moving Elements
The transportation tube-like element is used special
for transporting people from bridge 1 to bridge 2. This is very important as
disabled or ageing people need aid.
The up-and-down sliding door is showing that this
mechanism can be used not only just in garage or in big storage buildings, but
It can be used as a main door of a school as well. But one thing for sure, the
design must be so good that when people come in through that door, a positive
impression is felt.
